An 18-year-old apprentice in Anambra State is at the center of a disturbing case after reportedly impregnating 10 girls within a five-month period. Among those affected are his master’s daughter and a salesgirl, prompting widespread concern.
According to reports, the young man was sent to learn a trade but within three months of his apprenticeship, he allegedly impregnated both his boss’s daughter and a female sales assistant.
The incident led to his immediate dismissal from the training program.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, revealed the case during a live broadcast on social media, expressing deep concern over the situation.
Obinabo explained that matters escalated after the apprentice returned to his village, where he reportedly impregnated eight more girls within two months.
“This boy was sent to learn a trade at 18. After three months, he got his master’s daughter and the salesgirl pregnant.
He was sent back home. Within another two months, he had impregnated eight other girls in his village,” she said.
The boy’s mother also visited the commissioner’s office seeking help.
