The Lagos State Government has postponed the 2025 Public Service Examinations FG originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, citing the need to uphold the credibility of the process.
In a statement issued Monday evening, Adebayo Orunsolu, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, said the decision was made to ensure fairness and maintain the integrity of the examinations.
The announcement was also shared on the state government’s official X account.
According to Orunsolu, the examinations will now take place on Friday, May 23, 2025.
He added that updated schedules for individual papers would be released soon through official communication channels.
Candidates are advised to stay prepared and regularly check the board’s website — https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng — for real-time updates.
Orunsolu also urged candidates to keep their registration details safe and print their examination slips ahead of the new exam date.
He expressed appreciation for the understanding of all stakeholders and reaffirmed the board’s commitment to conducting transparent, efficient, and credible examinations.
The postponement, announced just a day before the initial exam date, extends the preparation period for candidates amid growing anticipation within the state’s civil service sector.
