Residents of Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area in Ondo State, were thrown into panic following the fatal shooting of a motorcyclist, identified as Nazifi Ibrahim.
The incident took place around 10:40 p.m. on Alafia Street, near the Ore/Benin Expressway.
According to eyewitnesses, Ibrahim, a native of northern Nigeria, was reportedly attacked after transporting a passenger to the area. He was later found shot dead by individuals suspected to be motorcycle thieves.
“The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear,” a local source said.
The victim has since been buried in Ore in accordance with Islamic customs.
A police official confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend those responsible.
