President Bola Tinubu on Thursday arrived in Kaduna State as part of his ongoing three-state working visit.

Touching down at the Nigerian Air Force base in Mando at 1:27 p.m., the President was welcomed by several high-ranking officials, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; and the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.

Also on hand to receive him were Governors from various states including Imo, Lagos, Ekiti, Edo, Jigawa, Kwara, Ogun, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, and Kebbi, as well as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, among other dignitaries.

A ceremonial guard of honour by the Nigerian Air Force band greeted the President upon arrival.

During his one-day visit, President Tinubu will inaugurate three major projects:

the Institute of Skill Acquisition and Development in Riga Chukun, a 300-bed specialist hospital in Millennium City, and 100 CNG-powered buses for intra-city transport.

A grand reception is scheduled to hold at Murtala Square in his honour.

The visit, initially planned for Wednesday, comes shortly after his trip to Benue State, where he assessed the aftermath of recent violent attacks that left about 200 people dead and hundreds displaced.

Security has been intensified across Kaduna, with key roads including Kawo Bridge and Independence Way temporarily closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. to ensure a smooth visit.

President Tinubu is expected to proceed to Nasarawa State as the next stop on his tour.
