Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command, working in collaboration with military personnel, have neutralized two armed robbers and arrested two others during a pre-dawn operation on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Gashash Estate in the Barnawa area of Kaduna, where a gang of eight armed men invaded a residential compound around 3:10 a.m., wielding a locally made pistol and other dangerous weapons.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, the suspects carted away several valuables including mobile phones, laptops, wristwatches, gaming consoles, and assorted jewelry.
Following a distress call, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Barnawa quickly mobilized patrol teams, who were joined by officers from the Kakuri and Sabon Tasha divisions, as well as soldiers from the 312 Artillery Regiment in Kalapanzi. The combined team tracked the fleeing suspects to Makera Main Road in Kakuri.

Two of the robbers were killed in the exchange, while two others were apprehended.
The rest of the gang managed to escape.
Recovered from the suspects were a locally made pistol, live ammunition, and several dangerous weapons. Police also recovered seven mobile phones, two laptops, three wristwatches, two PlayStation consoles, and various pieces of stolen jewelry.
One police officer sustained injuries during the operation and is currently receiving treatment at the police clinic.
