The local government elections scheduled for today, July 12, 2025, are set to commence at 8:00 a.m., with voting expected to take place across all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos State.
As of 6:30 a.m., there were no roadblocks or visible deployment of security personnel on major roads across Lagos. Movement across the state remained minimal.
In areas such as Abule Egba, Command Road, and Iyana Ipaja, only light vehicular traffic was observed.
At Ekoro in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, a few residents were seen walking along the roads, with motorcycles and tricycles operating normally.
Similarly, in Aguda, Ogba area of Ikeja, few vehicles moved along Grammar School Road. At about 7:52 a.m., two security patrol vehicles were sighted around Omole Phase 1.
By 7:30 a.m., some residents in Mosan Okunola area of Alimosho were seen trekking, while tricycles moved freely without any interference.
