The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has formally petitioned the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), requesting a full-scale investigation and possible prosecution of popular Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely known as K1 De Ultimate, over his alleged disruptive conduct aboard a domestic flight.

The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday aboard ValueJet flight VK201, and is said to have interfered with standard operational procedures, raising serious concerns over passenger safety and aviation protocol compliance.

In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by its spokesperson, the NCAA said the musician’s conduct may have contravened key provisions of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.

“The NCAA, in a letter addressed to the Attorney-General and the Inspector-General of Police, called for a comprehensive criminal investigation and the initiation of appropriate prosecution in line with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations 2023 and all other applicable laws,” the statement read.

As part of interim safety measures, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, has issued an advisory to the Airline Operators of Nigeria recommending that K1 De Ultimate be placed on a No-Fly List for all commercial flights pending the conclusion of the investigation.

The advisory, according to the Authority, aligns with international aviation safety practices aimed at safeguarding passengers, crew members, and airline operations.

“The NCAA reiterates its commitment to ensuring that no individual, regardless of their social status or public profile, undermines the integrity of the aviation industry,” the statement continued.

It further emphasized that safety and discipline in the aviation sector are non-negotiable, stressing that any act capable of endangering lives or disrupting flight operations will not be tolerated.
