The family of Hon. Aondona Dajoh, the immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of his elder brother, Elder Gwamile Dajoh.
Elder Dajoh reportedly collapsed and died on Sunday, just hours after his younger brother tendered his resignation as Speaker.
Although details of the incident remain sketchy, family sources said the deceased had expressed deep worry over the political crisis rocking the state legislature before his sudden passing.
His death came shortly after Hon. Alfred Berger was elected as the new Speaker of the Assembly during an emergency plenary session, following Aondona Dajoh’s resignation.
