The lawmaker representing Akoko North Federal Constituency, Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero, has facilitated the provision of new electricity transformers to Ogbagi-Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area and Ugbe-Akoko in Akoko North-East Local Government Area after years of power outage.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Blessing James Akeju, Chief Press Secretary to Hon. Ehindero, who said the initiative was part of the lawmaker’s commitment to addressing the infrastructure needs of his constituents.

At the commissioning in Ogbagi-Akoko, the Owa of Ogbagi land, Oba Victor Ojo Adetona (Odagbaragaja III), expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, describing the gesture as a revival of the town’s social and economic life.

“This transformer is more than just electricity; it represents hope, progress, and the return of economic and social life to our community. We thank Hon. Ife Ehindero for remembering Ogbagi and for bringing light back to our people,” the monarch said.

Also speaking, the Olugbe of Ugbe land, Oba Muraina Adefemi Ajiboye II, said the intervention ended years of darkness and hardship in the community, noting that residents can now look forward to improved security and business activities.

Representing the lawmaker at both events, Hon. Muhammad Bankole, Legislative Assistant to Ehindero, assured that the transformers were part of broader projects lined up to spread development across Akoko North Federal Constituency.
