Popular Guyanese influencer Lola Doll, born Lolita Callender, is in critical condition after being shot multiple times outside her Georgetown home late Saturday.
The Guyana Police Force confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday, saying the 33-year-old was attacked around 11:35 p.m. at Texas Square, East Ruimveldt.
According to police, Callender was seated in her car when a gunman on a motorcycle pulled up and opened fire, striking her in the neck, face, hands, and right leg. She was rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital, where doctors say she remains in critical condition.
Investigators disclosed that CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, while officers are combing the city in search of the assailant.
“The Guyana Police Force is urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has useful information to come forward.
Information may also be shared anonymously by calling 911 or reporting to the nearest station,” the statement read.
The investigation remains ongoing.
