The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Engineer Kayode Ojo from contesting in the forthcoming governorship primary election in Ekiti State.
The development came shortly after Ojo visited the party’s secretariat in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, where he reportedly received no formal reception from the party executives.
Ojo, who had earlier stormed the state capital with thousands of supporters from the 16 local government areas, had caused a major stir in Ado-Ekiti as preparations intensified for the party’s primary slated for October 27.
According to a report by TVC News, the APC screening committee has barred the aspirant from participating in both the primary and the main governorship election, though reasons for his disqualification were not immediately disclosed.
