The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Research and Documentation, Ewatomilola Emiola-Owoeye, has empowered small-scale business owners with ₦150,000 at the Redefined Woman Summit 2025 held in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The summit, convened by Pastor Mrs. Blessing Adebowale, was themed “Redefined to Reign: Building Wealth and Walking Worth.”
Ewatomilola, who was the keynote speaker, delivered a paper titled “The CEO Mindset: Leading with Vision, Purpose and Worth.”
Speaking during the event, she stressed that leadership begins in the mind and goes beyond titles or positions.
According to her, true leadership is rooted in clarity of purpose, courage in decision-making, and the grace to persevere through challenges.
Ewatomi said her journey from the United Kingdom back to Nigeria taught her that success is not found in comfort zones but in the pursuit of purpose, passion, and impact.
“I discovered that purpose is not a destination; it is a continuous process of growth and contribution,” she noted.
Ewatomilola, who is the CEO of B&B Group of Companies, including Cravings by B&B Restaurant and Lounge, B&B Farms, and B&B Media Consultancy, explained that her businesses were built on values of innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment.
The popular entrepreneur said her decision to return to Nigeria was driven by the need to create impact and redefine excellence in entrepreneurship.
Highlighting the principles behind her entrepreneurial success, she listed passion, innovation, resilience, strategic leadership, and community impact as the five pillars of a CEO mindset.
She encouraged women to pursue self-actualization without apology, stressing that “self-actualization is not selfish, it is sacred.”
While urging women never to lower their standards or pause their dreams for validation or relationships, Ewatomilola said, “Your dreams deserve to live, and your destiny deserves your full attention.”
In recognition of her commitment to women’s empowerment, she supported small-scale entrepreneurs at the summit with ₦150,000 to boost their businesses.
Ewatomilola, who also runs the Ewatomilola Cares Initiative, described the gesture as part of her mission to inspire and support women who are determined to build, lead and thrive despite challenges.
