Regina Daniels vows to fight for her children, defends mother amid marriage crisis

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has finally spoken out on the crisis rocking her marriage to billionaire politician, Senator Ned Nwoko, declaring that her priority now is protecting her children and defending her mother, Rita Daniels.

The actress broke her silence in a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, where she addressed allegations and rumours that have trailed her family since a viral clip of October 18 sparked speculation about a rift in her marriage.

In the emotional video, Daniels expressed frustration over the social media attacks on her mother, whom she described as her “pillar and protector.”

“Hey guys, please stop insulting my mom, I beg you. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. She’s my God on earth.

For seven years, my mom held it down. You all insulted her, but she tried. She warned me. My brothers warned me. Everybody did,” she said.

Daniels revealed that her family had initially opposed her decision to marry Nwoko but she went ahead because she was in love.

“Everyone said no. My mom warned me, my brothers were fighting, breaking bottles. I even went to the police station and said, ‘Arrest me! My family doesn’t want me to marry the love of my life,’” she recounted.

The actress dismissed claims that her marriage was motivated by money, insisting she had been financially supporting her family long before her union with Nwoko.

“You all should stop saying I got married out of greed. Excuse me — we were not broke! What amount of money can a man give to a mother who already has a child providing for the whole family? Through me, my mom trained all her children. I was a blessing to her, and God used me to settle her,” she said.

Speaking about her two sons, Munir and Khalifa, Daniels vowed to raise them regardless of her marital situation.

“I’m going to fight for my children. I’ll take them, train them, and raise them with or without your support,” she said firmly.

Despite her emotional remarks, the actress maintained that she still respects her husband, saying her decision to stay calm was for the sake of their children.

“I did fall in love, and I still care and respect him. That’s love — care and respect.

The only reason I’m not fighting you, Ned, is that I want Mona and Khalifa’s father’s name to remain strong. But they can take mine,” she added.

In the caption accompanying her video, Daniels reaffirmed her resolve to stand on her own terms.

“For the record, I don’t regret anything. Na only me carry my leg enter. This was a route I was meant to take — not my final destination,” she wrote.
