The Ondo State Police Command has announced that the written examination for applicants in the ongoing police recruitment exercise will hold between April 28 and April 30, 2026.
The exercise, organised by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, is for candidates seeking enlistment as Police Constables under both the General Duty and Specialist categories.
According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the examination in Ondo State will take place at the Police Secondary School, Iju, Itaogbolu.
The statement noted that only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening would be eligible to participate in the examination.
Applicants were advised to visit the official recruitment portal to print their examination invitation cards, which contain details of their specific date, time and venue.
Candidates are expected to come along with a pen, their National Identification Number slip bearing a clear photograph, and the printed invitation card.
The command added that applicants must adhere strictly to the prescribed dress code of white shorts, white T-shirt and white canvas.
The Police Service Commission reiterated that the recruitment process is free, warning applicants against falling victim to fraudsters or engaging in any form of inducement.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebowale Lawal, urged candidates to comply with all guidelines and report early at their designated centres.
The statement also urged members of the public to report any suspicious activities related to the recruitment exercise, assuring that offenders would be prosecuted.
