The Ondo State Government has dissolved the boards of several parastatals and commissions in the state following the expiration of their tenures, with immediate effect.

The affected institutions include the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Local Government Service Commission, the Muslim Welfare Board, and the Christian Welfare Board.

Also affected are the Education Secretaries across the 18 local government areas of the state, whose tenures have equally come to an end.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

According to the government, all chairmen, commissioners, board members, and Education Secretaries in the affected offices are to immediately hand over to the most senior administrative officers in their respective establishments.

The directive, the statement noted, is in line with standard administrative practice following the expiration of official tenures.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was quoted as expressing appreciation to the outgoing office holders for their service to the state.

He commended their contributions to governance and development during their period in office, describing their efforts as valuable to the progress of Ondo State.

The government added that further directives regarding the affected agencies would be communicated as necessary.
