Controversial Afrobeats singer, Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has protested his loss to skit maker, Carter Efe, in a celebrity boxing bout, alleging that the fight was unfairly judged.
Portable made the claims during a live session on his Instagram page shortly after the match held in the early hours of Saturday, insisting that he was “robbed” despite landing several punches.
The singer accused his opponent of using unfair tactics, including holding and leveraging his height advantage, while also questioning the judges’ scoring of the bout.
He further demanded payment of his earnings from the event, threatening to cause a scene if his entitlements were not settled.
Despite his dissatisfaction with the outcome, Portable said he was not overly concerned about losing his title, noting that family matters held greater significance for him.
He revealed that he had recently welcomed a baby boy, describing the development as more valuable than any championship belt.
The bout, part of the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at Balmoral Hall in Lagos, ended in a unanimous decision in favour of Carter Efe, with all three judges scoring the contest 30–27.
The victory saw the comedian dethrone Portable to emerge as the new celebrity boxing champion.
Prior to the fight, Portable had expressed confidence of securing another title, boasting of his previous wins over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.
However, Carter Efe countered the claims and went on to dominate the encounter, effectively utilising his reach and height advantage to control the fight and land more decisive punches across three rounds.
