The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba, has felicitated the leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, on his 100th birthday anniversary, describing him as a distinguished nationalist and respected voice in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Ipinsagba, in a statement issued to journalists on Monday, applauded the elder statesman for his decades of service to the Yoruba nation and the country at large.
He noted that Fasoranti’s contributions to democracy, leadership and national development had continued to earn him admiration across different generations.
The lawmaker said the Afenifere leader had remained steadfast in promoting justice, equity and peaceful coexistence, adding that his influence in nation-building could not be overlooked.
According to him, Fasoranti’s life reflects discipline, integrity and unwavering dedication to the service of humanity.
“Pa Fasoranti has continued to demonstrate exemplary leadership and uncommon commitment to the growth of society. His life of sacrifice and patriotism remains worthy of emulation,” the statement partly read.
Ipinsagba further commended the elder statesman’s role in advancing education and socio-political development in Ondo State and the South-West region.
The senator prayed for God’s continued protection, strength and good health for the centenarian as he marks the historic milestone.
He also urged Nigerians, particularly younger leaders, to draw inspiration from Fasoranti’s enduring values of honesty, humility and service.
