Grammy-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter, Talay Riley, has been killed following a stabbing incident in East London, United Kingdom.
The musician, born Mark Yinka Orabiyi, died at the age of 35 after sustaining fatal injuries during the attack, which reportedly occurred on Friday morning in the Silvertown area of the city.
According to local media reports, emergency responders were called to Pankhurst Avenue shortly after the incident was reported around 9 a.m. Despite efforts by paramedics to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have since launched a murder investigation, with homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command leading efforts to uncover the circumstances surrounding the attack.
