A female teacher has reportedly died after she was allegedly assaulted by the father of one of her students in Ugbamaka, Okpo District, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.
As reported by Daily Post, the tragic incident was said to have occurred after the teacher disciplined the student during school activities.
According to information shared by security and counter-insurgency analyst Zagazola Makama on X, the student’s father allegedly confronted the teacher over the punishment meted out to his child.
The confrontation reportedly turned violent, with the teacher sustaining fatal injuries during the assault.
The incident has sparked outrage among residents and members of the education community, who have expressed concern over the increasing attacks on teachers while carrying out their professional responsibilities.
