Many people have been seriously injured as supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and African Democratic Congress (ADC) clashed at the Yaba Area of Ondo town, Ondo State.
YemieFash online learned that no fewer than 15 vehicles were vandalised during the clash which happened on Thursday evening. The fight came a few hours before the local government election in the state.
It was also gathered that the fight may be connected to the local council poll coming up on Saturday.
Recall that a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the National Assembly and member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye withdrew from participating in the poll.
In a statement on Thursday, the lawmaker said he withdrew from the race basically to avoid violence and bloodshed and to ensure the lives and properties of the good people of Idanre.
