The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon Agboola Ajayi, on Friday, said his pedigree as the most experienced candidate will speak for him during the forthcoming governorship election.
Ajayi is the governorship candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
In a statement by his Media Adviser, Allen Sowore, Ajayi said he is qualified for the position of governor, contrary to the claims of Governor Akeredolu, having served as a ward chairman, supervisory councillor, elected chairman of a local government, member of House of Representatives and deputy governor.
Ajayi said Akeredolu’s position during a recent interview on a television programme that he is unfit for the office of Governor was sad.
According to him, he worked tirelessly from the grassroots up the political ladder to attain the present position unlike others who have only served as commissioners within the executive arm without any cognate experience at the grassroots or legislative arms of government.
