Councillorship candidates of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ifedore Local Government Area that recently attended a meeting with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu
have denied the news of their defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The councillorship candidates also reiterated their unalloyed loyalty to their leader, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye. The councillorship candidates also stated that they
still repose absolute trust in the leadership of Hon. Adefisoye.
In a statement released on Saturday, September 19, 2020 and signed by Issac Kekereowo, the Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Adefisoye, the councillorship candidates stated that they were counting on Adefisoye to pull the political strings to bring about the official declaration of their victories in the local government election.
Meanwhile, certain APC leaders in Ifedore were however advised to desist from misinforming the public with the pictures that the councillorship candidates took
with Governor Akeredolu.
“APC leaders in Ifedore are hereby advised to stop misinforming the general public on account of the
the pictures taken by our councillorship candidates with Governor Akeredolu”, the statement added.
