A Jos magistrate  court on Monday sentenced a 20-year-old unemployed man, John Bawa, to two years in prison for stealing from and insulting his mother. The sentence was handed down by Magistrate Irene Pati following Bawa’s guilty plea. The court also gave him the option of paying fines of N30,000 for theft and N50,000 for insulting his mother.
