The Ogun State Police Command said it had commenced investigation into an alleged assassination attempt on one Adebowale Emmanuel, a chief in the Iredo Community of Lagos State, in connection with a kingship dispute. The Police Command in Katsina State said it foiled a kidnap attempt at Yan Shantuma village in the Danmusa Local Government Area of the state and rescued seven victims. Two men, Hammed Abdulrasheed and Abiodun Aluko, on Wednesday appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle worth N1.2 million. The defendants, Abdulrasheed, 22 and Aluko, 42, whose addresses were not provided, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and illegal possession of the stolen item. The prosecutor, Sgt.
