The Nigerian Bar Association, Aba branch in Abia State has said it will partner the police in re-training policemen in respecting human rights and handling investigations. The new Chairman of the branch, Charles Onuchukwu, gave the assurance during an interview in Aba on Wednesday. The Ekiti State Police Command on Wednesday arraigned 23-year-old Ajayi Sunday before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.The defendant, with no fixed address, was standing trial on a one-count charge of stealing. Adetunji Obatayo, a 55-year-old pastor and school principal at the Deeper Life Bible Church, has been remanded in Akure Magistrates’ Family Court on charges of defiling a minor. It was discovered that his victim, a 14-year-old student, became pregnant, and he obtained an abortion for her.
