The Lagos State Police Command has dismantled a criminal syndicate allegedly involved in ‘one chance’ robberies and advance-fee fraud, popularly called ‘419’,‍ with the arrest of 13 suspects, including a recently released ex-convict. Two persons have been confirmed dead, while six others sustained serious injuries in a late-night road crash involving a heavy-duty truck along the Gombe–Yola Road in Gombe State.
