The Central Bank of Nigeria has said that it is gradually withdrawing old N1,000, N500 and N200 notes from circulation. The Acting CBN governor Folashodun Shonubi made the disclosure on Tuesday at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting. Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN,CON, has commenced the construction of the Onyearugbulem/Shagari/Irese flyover in furtherance of the infrastructural drive of his administration. It will be the first flyover in Akure. The Flyover will be the second flyover constructed by the Governor Akeredolu led-administration, following the Ore Redemption Bridge in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area. According to the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Raimi Aminu, The State Government has paid over N300m as compensation to about 57 claimants whose properties fell within the rights-of-way in order to give way for the project.
