The Federal Government yesterday urged the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to reconsider the “comprehensive, total and indefinite strike action” it declared on Monday. The government said it had invested in the education sector, especially the universities. Mele Kyari, group chief executive officer (GCEO), Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, says the country will stop importing petroleum products by mid-2023. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, dismissed the fresh bail application filed by suspended DCP Abba Kyari. Justice Emeka Nwite, in a ruling, held that Kyari had not given sufficient grounds for the application to be granted.
