The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally issued former Imo governor, Rochas Okorocha, a certificate of return for winning the February 23 senatorial election in Imo West. Suspected herders, on Sunday evening, kidnapped a woman and her stepson in Osi community, Akure North Local Government Area. Olawumi Adeleye, 25, and Destiny Paul, 14, were reportedly abducted while returning from the church. It was gathered that the kidnappers used cows to block the way, thereby creating obstruction and taking captive their stranded victims. Three men from the same mother were on Saturday morning killed by bandits in Zaka village, Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State. Their corpses were brought to the palace of the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumin Kabir, later in the evening. The aged mother of the victims accompanied the corpses to the palace. Kano residents have commended the reconciliation of the governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II. According to the P.R.O of the Ondo state Police command, Mr. Femi Joseph. The accident involved a fully loaded 18 seater bus moving towards Abuja and a lorry moving in the opposite direction. The lorry was said to have collided with the bus while trying to avoid a pot hole on the road, after which the bus went into flames with no single survivor. I also gathered that the driver of the lorry ran away immediately after the accident which occurred around the Akure airport junction and is still at large at the time of filing this report.
