A 36-year-old man, Sule Sunday, was on Friday arraigned in the Karu Magistrates Court in Abuja for allegedly assaulting his landlady. The defendant, who resides at Orozo, is facing a count charge of assault, an offence he denied committing. The prosecution counsel, Olarewaju Osho, told the court that a written petition was received at the office of Karu Area Commander on January 22. The Area Court in Jos has sentenced an unemployed man, Tuagat Moses, to six months’ imprisonment for stealing six phones worth N1.4 million. The judge, Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to theft. The judge, however, gave the convict an option of N10,000 fine. The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External results, with 57,114 candidates obtaining five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.
