Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu yesterday reiterated that the ban on open grazing by Southern state governors  is irreversible. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) plans a $50 billion fund to end the COVID-19 pandemic. In a ‘Proposal to End the COVID-19 Pandemic’, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva emphasised the need to arrest rising human toll and economic strain from the pandemic. The plan proposes vaccination for, at least, 40 per cent of the population in all countries by the end of this year and at least, 60 per cent by the first half of 2022. The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Alteration Bill, 2020, which is seeking to repeal the NYSC Act, is billed for the second reading. Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has explained why he was absent at Sunday’s meeting of the All Progressives Congress Southwest Leaders’ meeting held in Lagos State.
