The Niger Delta Power Holding Company, NDPHC, has signed a framework agreement with the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) to deliver additional 250MW from stranded power to the customer within the franchise area. The House of Representatives ad hoc Committee on pay-per-view tariff has assured Nigerians of its commitment to abolish indiscriminate charges by satellite service providers. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos governor, has approved the sum of N20 million grant for Lagos-based athletes going to the Olympics later this year. Four men have been arrested by the men of the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly assaulting and stripping a policewoman who was assigned to invite a suspect to the police station. The policewoman, Bosede Ajayi, was said to have been humiliated, manhandled and stripped naked on the order of one Oladele Samuel, who is the leader of a notorious gang in the area. Three of the abducted students of Greenfield University, Kasarami Kaduna, have been found dead. They were shot dead by bandits who kidnapped them. Kaduna Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the development, said their remains were found on Friday in Kwanan Bature village, a location close to the University.
