The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rewarded Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) Igbesa with N75million for being the most compliant institution during 2019 admission process. The examination body presented a cheque to top officers of the institution in Abuja recently at the second edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance Merit Award for 2019. JAMB gave N75 million to each of the five best performing tertiary institutions. They included University of Ilorin, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Federal University, Wukari, Taraba among others. TROOPS of Operation Hadarin Daji have rescued 23 kidnapped victims comprising 18 women and five children in Katsina State, the Defence Headquarters has said. The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, in a statement, said the rescue operation took place on Tuesday at Wurma Village in Kurfi Local Government Area of the state. Enenche said the troop also recovered 75 rustled livestock during the operation. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Lagos zone have arrested 21 suspects for allegedly being involved in internet-related fraud. The suspects are also said to be members of an organized cybercrime syndicate. They were all arrested on Wednesday in an operation at Roxbury Leisure Homes Phase 2, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ikota, Lagos.
