Nigeria should conduct its own clinical trials of COVID -19 vaccines before administering them on patients, doctors have advised. The doctors, under the aegis of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) , argued that “our biology, environment and genetic composition” make such trials necessary. Although they stated they were not doubting the efficacy of the vaccines, the doctors pointed out their concern has to do with the short period the drugs were produced. Operatives of the Nigerian Navy (NN) on Sunday night saved 12 passengers from drowning after a commercial boat capsized on Lagos waterways. The incident occurred around 8:10 pm along the Tarkwa Bay axis as a result of strong waves caused by the activity of another passenger boat that was transiting the channel. Staffers of Helena Hotel at Ijapo area in Akure, the Ondo State capital, have fled for fear of being arrested after the murder of a businessman by suspected assassins.
