The President of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, has said that when the strike is over, a large number of lecturers are going to leave Nigeria. Emmanuel Osodeke stated this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today. On Wednesday, the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) in Abuja ordered the union to immediately suspend the ongoing industrial action. The Federal Government through the National Universities Commission has ordered vice-chancellors to re-open schools and allow students resume lectures. This was made known in a letter signed by the Director, Finance and Accounts of the NUC, Sam Onazi, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed. The First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has paid a special visit to a couple blessed with a set of triplets at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti. The triplets are the first children of 71-year-old Venerable Hezekiah Akenroye, a retired Anglican Priest and his wife, Mrs Durodoluwa Felicia Akenroye, 45, who were married in April 2016.
