At least 138 members of the National Youth Service Corps have tested positive for COVID-19. Chikwe Ihekweazu, director-general of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), broke the news at the briefing of the presidential task force on COVID-19 on Monday. “A total of 34,785 corps members and members of the camp communities have been tested so far in the last weeks of which only 138 was found positive, which is 0.4 per cent prevalence and 1 in 200 people,” Ihekweazu said. The domestic equities market on Monday extended its losing streak with the All-Share Index dropping by 0.04 per cent, as the country officially entered recession. Specifically, the All-Share Index lost 15.04 points or 0.04 per cent to close at 34,121.78 compared with 34,136.82 achieved on Friday.
