The federal government is planning to borrow $750 million on behalf of states to stimulate local economies in Nigeria. The remains of 100 level University of Benin (UNIBEN) student, Uwaila Omozuwa, who was gang-raped in a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have been laid to rest. Omozuwa’s remains were later interred at the Third Cemetery, Benin. Three persons have been shot dead in different parts of Akure in armed robbery attacks that occurred on Thursday evening. Among the victims was a commercial motorcyclist who was killed at Ologede junction along Oda Road in Akure. All the 15 pending by-elections in 11 states will now come up on December 5, according to a time table released on Friday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
