Former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings has passed on. Rawlings died in the early hours of Thursday at the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The former President was said to have been battling with his ill-health over the past few weeks. It would be recalled that the late Rawlings buried his late mother Madam Victoria Agbotui in October 2020.

Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has said there are no plans by his administration to stop pensions of former governors and their deputies. Okowa said this while addressing newsmen on Wednesday in Asaba. THE Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) cannot claim to be autonomous when lecturers are paid by the government, Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, said on Wednesday.
