Lekki Concession Company (LCC) Managing Director, Mr Abayomi Omomuwa, has said neither he nor any member of his staff witnessed shootings of protesters at Lekki Toll Gate. The Oyo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, announced the indefinite suspension of the caretaker chairmen of eight Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) and five Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. This followed the failure of the 13 caretaker chairmen to submit a comprehensive list of graders, bulldozers, flat-bed trucks and other earth-moving equipment in their domain as requested by the state assembly. Nigeria approved of last weekend’s rescue operation by the United States Special Forces, Minister of Defence Major General Bashir Magashi (rtd.) has declared.
