A federal high court in Port Harcourt has delayed hearing of the case against Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo state. On Monday, the court granted two orders — one to stop Obaseki from contesting in the PDP primary election, and the other to serve him by substituted means. The PDP primary election is less than 24 hours away. Troops from the 17th Brigade Command, katsina state, yesterday rescued 6 kidnapped victims of Danmusa Local Government Council of Katsina state. The Federal Government has said it had presented a proposal for the reopening of schools to the National Assembly. The Minister of State for Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, spoke on Tuesday in Abuja at a meeting with the Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education. The minister stressed that the proposal should not be misconstrued as guidelines for schools’ reopening. Barring last minute change, Oyo State Government has modified the resumption of schools slated for June 29. According to the new arrangement, only teachers are to resume on June 29th while students in terminal classes resumes a week later.
