Tragedy struck as suspected assassins gunned down the son of a retired Army General and one-time military administrator of Ondo State, Brig-Gen. Opaleye (rtd). on Thursday. A document seen by SaharaReporters has revealed how the sum of over N4.3bn stashed in a ‘secret’ account by the Ondo State Government was discovered after 10 years with various transactions carried out on it without due process. The Defence Headquarters (DHQ), said its soldiers on counter insurgency operations in the north east have killed 61 members of both the Boko Haram and Islamic State of West African Province(ISWAP), in the last one week.
