According to the government, the collected samples are to be tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) at a private laboratory accredited by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Following their arrival in Jigawa, the children were isolated at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Kiyawa Local Government Area of the state. The Baltimore-based university had recorded more than 1.1 million cases in the country as of 8:30 pm Saturday (0030 GMT Sunday), with 66,224 deaths, a two percent rise from a day earlier. According to the data released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, with 17 fatalities reported on Saturday, the total number of deaths in the country now stands at 85. As of Saturday, Nigeria has 2388 confirmed cases.
