The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set up a committee to reconcile the “warring factions” in the party. Abdul Ningi, a former senator, said this on Wednesday while briefing journalists after a closed-door meeting of the BoT. Ningi spoke on behalf of Walid Jibril, the PDP BoT chairman. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has imposed a fine of N5 million on Trust TV, an arm of Daily Trust Newspaper, over the broadcast of the documentary titled “Nigeria’s Banditry: The Inside Story”, which was aired by the station on the 5th of March, 2022. Suspected terrorists have attacked the convoy of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 12 with Headquarters in Bauchi, Audu Madaki, injuring him and killing one of his police guards.
