The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, says there is no single refinery working at the moment in the country. The three farmers who are indigenes of Ikaram Akoko in Ondo State were abducted by gunmen at Ayere, Kogi State while on their way to attend a social function in a neighbouring town. A family member of one of the victims said negotiations have commenced with the kidnappers with a view to reducing the ransom. Police sources in Ondo State said the abduction occurred in Kogi State, which is not their jurisdiction.
