BREAKING: Lagos discharges 42 new COVID-19 patients

Lagos State has recorded 42 new coronavirus recoveries, YemieFash reports.

The state Health Ministry disclosed this on Friday evening via Twitter.

It said the patients comprising 20 females and 22 males were discharged from three of its isolation centres, adding that the number of discharged patients had risen to 448.

“42 more COVID-19 patients; 20 females and 22 males; all Nigerians have been discharged from our isolation facilities at Onikan, Eti-Osa (LandMark) and Lekki to reunite with the society.

“The patients; 2 from Onikan, 32 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) and 8 from Lekki Isolation Centres have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.

“With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged in Lagos has risen to 448,” it stated.

YemieFash reports that the state has recorded 1491 coronavirus infections with over 30 fatalities, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
