As the coronavirus cases in Lagos State near 1000, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, opens a new 118-bed Isolation Center in the Gbagada area of the state.

YemieFash had reported that the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, said on Thursday during the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing in Abuja that there was shortage of bed spaces in Lagos, which has more than 50 percent of the total COVID-19 cases reported in the country.

“Across the country, we have about 3,500 bed spaces identified and available for COVID-19. But in Lagos, we are already struggling.
