BREAKING: Ondo State SDP Chairman Step Aside, Handover To Caretaker Committee
PRESS RELEASE:
After a successful meeting held with the leaders of the party with our House of Rep. Member Hon.(Alh) Tajudeen A. Atenidegbe in attendance; Ondo State SDP erstwhile Chairman Hon. Korede Duyile has decided to step aside for a Caretaker Committee to handle the affairs of the party till November National Convention of the party.
He has subsequently handed over the Chairmanship of the Caretaker Committee to Barrister Dele Thomas while Dr Shola Agboola remains the State Secretary.
All issues pertaining to the forthcoming local government & Governorship Elections should be referred to the Caretaker Committee. INEC and Security Operatives are to take note, while they are also enjoined to shun any national directive from an illegitimate faction whose fake National Secretary is one Shehu Gabam.
Signed:-Dr Shola Agboola
State Secretary, SDP
Mr Korede Duyile confirmed this report when contacted, he said his decision to step down was taken due to the fact that his tenure has since expired in March 2020 and a state congress is overdue and he would prefer that a caretaker committee conducts the congress as he doesn’t want an elongated tenure.
