Operation Sahel Sanity that was launched by Nigerian Army in July 2020 have so far killed 80 bandits that engaged troops in gun fights in Katsina, Zamfara and Sokoto states.
The troops have also arrested 33 bandits so far, while a total of 943 cows, 633 sheep and rams were also rescued. In addition, 7 AK 47 rifles, 1 General Purpose Machine Gun and 16 Dane guns were captured in all the operations so far conducted.
Similarly, troops of Operation Sahel Sanity have so far rescued 17 kidnapped victims from the camps of bandits. Also, 14 informants and collaborators of bandits have been arrested till date.
