The Senate arm of Nigerian National Assembly has applauded the efforts of Nigerian Army in the North West which has substantially helped to curtail the criminal activities of bandits in the region.
This commendation was made by the Chairman of Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume at the weekend. The senator noted with satisfaction that restoration of security and orderliness to the North West were already becoming manifest due to the concerted efforts of the military.
Senator Ndume was quoted as saying that he had happily observed that farmers have returned to their farms in many parts of the North West region due to the relentless effort of Nigerian Army through its ongoing Operation Sahel Sanity.
It will be recalled that the troop of operation Sahel Sanity of Nigerian Army has been recording successes lately over groups of armed bandits that were terrorising the North Western region.
