The Premier League, EPL, has confirmed that eight persons have tested positive for COVID-19 following the latest phase of mass testing.

The Premier League made this known in a statement on its official website on Monday.

Recall that the number of COVID-19 positive tests is on the rise in the EPL, following the confirmation of eight positive cases last month.

It read: “Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 16 November and Sunday 22 November, 1,530 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19.

Of these, there were eight new positive tests.

“Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate for a period of 10 days.”
